Partnering In Canada's North Since 1901

Commitment to Community.

Our community investment initiatives touch all aspects of life, including health and wellness and programs for youth and sports. ATCO EPIC (Employees Participating in Communities) is an employee-led program where the company matches donations made by employees to the charities of their choice. This ensures that our employees in all locations can make a personal impact.

ATCO has been investing in our northern communities for decades

ATCO congratulates athletes from the 2010 Arctic Winter GamesATCO was an official sponsor of the 2010 Arctic Winter Games held March 7-13, 2010 in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The Games were a magical showcase of the history, culture, vibrancy and people of the North.

The ATCO Group provided people, products and services to the event that saw nearly 2,000 athletes and cultural participants from Arctic Nations around the world competing and showcasing their talents.

2010 Arctic Winter Games CauldronAs a legacy to the Games, ATCO created a beautifully constructed cauldron. It was lit during the Games and will be used by the City of Grande Prairie for future community events.

The 2008 Arctic Winter Games in Yellowknife were equally magical. ATCO and its people contributed to the Games overwhelming success. ATCO companies in Yellowknife wrapped their buildings in colourful pageantry. Northland Utilities provided electrical services. ATCO Structures & Logistics volunteered its logistics expertise and provided units for showers and washrooms at sport venues. The 100 laptop computers ATCO I-Tek provided during the Games were later donated for use at local schools.

As the Official Supplier to the 2007 Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse, the ATCO Group of Companies supplied:
  • Modular units to sport venue sites
  • Electrical service to power the action
  • ATCO volunteers donated their time at ATCO Place (right), which hosted the opening and closing ceremonies and cultural events
  • Security at the Athletes Village
  • Laptop and desktop computers to keep the information flowing
